Thai Government House


The name ‘Thai Koo Fah’ was called in the period of Prime Minister Marshal Plak, at the first time it was called Kraisorn Building. The name of Kraisorn Building was from the old name of His Royal Highness Kraisorn. Thai Koo Fah Building is the high tall, there are special both the first floor and the second, the last period of Gothic architecture (Neo Venetain Gothic),   drilling the wall box has a pointed arch height decorating by stucco pattern. Some parts are decorated by fresco secco. The stair along from the front ahead to the middle hall.  Front roof, there are terrace roof and roof deck  so that the highlights. If seeing from the front, it will show the statue of Brahma God.


Within the building, there are quantity luxury rooms and called especially name by itself. For example :


Room of Golden Dome

It’s located the ground floor of the south tower, preparing for Prime Minister’s special visitors.
Room of Ivory color

 Purple Room

Standing at right of the ground floor, preparing for Minister’s special visitors.

 Green Room

The next west from the Purple Room, preparing for assemble of director’s board in order the president of Prime Minister.

 At the upstairs

There are the main office of Prime Minister and the old conference room.

 

Suan Pak Kad Palace


Yesterday I went to somewhere, passing Sri-Ayuthaya Road, I found some building interest, it’s the one of beautiful palace in Bangkok. That’s called Suan Pak Kad Palace (Lettuce Palace). Which this name so strange but I love this place.


At recently, Suan Pak Kad Palace was the palace of His Royal Highness Prince Chum-Pa-Ta-Pong Bharipat and Duchess Pantip Bharipat (First age of Tevakul, family name). It’s situated Sri-Ayuthaya Road, Bangkok. Construction of 6 rais of land.


The Prince used this palace for relaxing on weekend and permitted others to sightseeing several of ancients until A.D. 1952. The prince was died at 1959, after that, Duchess Pantip Bharipat donated this place to Chumpata-Pantip Foundation and this palace had became Suan Pak Kad Palace Museum since then to nowadays.


Thevarach Pirom Place


Before I introduce Thevarachpirom Palace, I would like to let you know about Phayathai Palace, the complex of several palace. Phayathai Palace is situated side of Samsen Canal, Rachvithi road, Thevarachpirom is the one of buildings in this palace area.


When The Great Queen Her Majesty Sripacharintara Prapanpeeluang came to stay in Phayathai Palace and then Thevarachpirom was built for The Great Queen, by the Bizentine Architecture. In the stateroom, there are several bizarre painting and the queen’s signature ‘สผ’ (The old name Saovapa PongSri).


This palace use to be the stateroom of many kind of events such as the religion occasions, room for the queen’s guest and the playhouse.



Nowadays, if you have a chance, do not missing to visit this palace.
